Meet Jackie Stapleton, Female Consultant
ISO 9001 quality leadership expert, speaker, coach, facilitator and female consultant, Jackie is obsessed with helping to create successful quality leaders and businesses.
Jackie was brought up as a child working 'in business'. Her parents were always business owners. And, as she says, she was ‘brought up behind the counter’.
It was only natural that she would end up being self-employed with her first business kicking off as a teenager, teaching children how to swim.
Over the years, she owned several businesses including service stations, floor covering shop (yes she laid carpet) and management system consulting. And now she is a triple-certified contract auditor and the owner and director of an online training company (Auditor Training Online).
She also loves personal challenges.
She has hiked the Kokoda Trail in Papua New Guinea, and the Swiss and Italian Alps. To prepare for these epic adventures, there was a LOT of planning needed. Much like she teaches others in her role as an expert female consultant, she needed a plan to make sure that she was physically and emotionally ready for these challenges.
How to Get Things Done
Many years ago, one of Jackie’s team told her the most valuable lesson he learnt from her was ‘how to get things done’. She had never thought about it too much until that point. She had been ‘getting it done’ for over 30 years working in many organisations and then, as a business owner. She just thought everyone could do it.
But it turns out that isn’t the case.
In her over 20 years as a certification auditor, Jackie has had exposure to hundreds of businesses. She’s had many opportunities to talk to people in different professions and trades. As a result, she has learned what lets people succeed and what doesn’t. Even now, as an expert female consultant in the quality management system industry, she continues to learn and adapt to changing business and market needs.
Jackie has a nose for systems and processes. She's seen them all. And she’s seen them in all types of businesses ranging from consultancy, project management, telecommunications, education and training, trades and government.
Her real-world experience is how she supports people in turning their needs, wants and ideas into reality. Whether their idea is a new business, a new product or the implementation of a management system, Jackie supports them to succeed. She helps her clients create a plan and shows them how to make it happen.
So you can see, this ‘getting things done’ is part of her professional and personal life. It’s what she does, and does well.
What I love most about Jackie is her mental toughness. She has such a relentless commitment to leading the standard and does it all with warmth and humor. I love her focus on being better every day, not just in her work but in how she shows up every day.
